Trustee Training
About
A morning training session introducing the role and legal responsibilities of trustees for charity and community groups in Reading.
Reading Voluntary Action runs this three-hour introduction to being a trustee, aimed at new and existing trustees of voluntary and community groups operating in Reading. The session covers the six main legal duties of trustees, limiting liability and legal structures, effective board leadership, and reporting responsibilities, plus where to find help and support. It also offers networking with fellow trustees, with registration and refreshments from 9:45am and a short comfort break midway. The course is delivered by RVA's Advice Service Manager, Herjeet Vass, who has a background in law and charity management.
