Backstage Tours
About
Guided backstage tours of the Edinburgh Playhouse theatre, including a drink and pastry, running on selected Fridays and Saturdays.
Visitors are taken behind the scenes of the Edinburgh Playhouse to see how theatre is created backstage, standing on a stage where world-famous artists have performed and hearing about the venue's artistic history. Each tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and includes a cup of tea or coffee, a soft drink and a pastry in the bar Little Picardy. Tours are tied to the shows currently running, with Dirty Dancing, Mean Girls and Back to the Future among the productions featured behind the scenes; stage access is subject to availability and under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
