Sharon Kivland – La Passante
About
A foyer display at the Glasgow School of Art presenting three of Sharon Kivland's artist publications, including La Passante, a book of London streets named after women.
The display focuses on three of Sharon Kivland's publications: La Passante (The Passerby), La Forme-Valeur (The Value-Form) and Freud's Dining – Freud on Holiday Appendix II. La Passante collects the names of London streets that appear to be named after women, while La Forme-Valeur is a 16-page booklet of wall texts drawn from Marx's Das Kapital. The Freud on Holiday series re-constructs Sigmund Freud's European journeys through writings, photographs and other fragments. The display runs in the Reid Building Foyer, accessible through the main entrance with step-free access.
