About

Isle of Man/Glasgow four-piece Mec Lir bring their high-energy Celtic fusion show to SWG3 as part of Celtic Connections 2027.

Mec Lir return to Celtic Connections in 2027 with a live show following a new studio album, their first since 2020's Livewire. The Isle of Man/Glasgow four-piece blend virtuoso fiddle and bouzouki with keyboards, synths and drums for a fast, rhythmic take on Celtic music rooted in traditional melody. The band features Tomas Callister on fiddle, Adam Rhodes on bouzouki, David Kilgallon on keyboards and Greg Barry on drums, joined live by guests Paddy Callaghan on accordion and Lyle Watt on electric guitar.
