Holding the Rains - Water in the Farming Landscape
About
A three-day course at the Apricot Centre exploring how to restore water cycles and manage water shortage and abundance on farms.
This course explores both the bigger picture and on-the-ground solutions for restoring water cycles and managing water shortage and abundance on farms. Teaching takes place at the Apricot Centre farm and includes a field trip to a local farm to see how its owners engage with, harness and manage water for their needs. It is aimed at anyone wanting to understand more about working with water in increasingly unpredictable weather and its extremes. Places are free for residents of South Hams and West Devon, who are prioritised for funding reasons, and applicants are confirmed after acceptance.
