Visible Mending

A workshop focusing on visible mending techniques, covering basic repair skills and artistic exploration of textiles.

The workshop covers basic repair skills such as standard and reverse patching, strengthening stitches, darning, and basic needleweaving. It also explores the visual language of textiles, using holes and frayed surfaces as metaphors for broken systems and mental healing. Participants can either create a collection of samples or bring a garment to repair in class.
