Film Screening: Frankenstein 1931
About
A Halloween screening of the 1931 horror classic Frankenstein at The London Archives, part of its quarterly Reel Histories series.
The London Archives hosts an evening of B-Movie horror with a screening of Frankenstein (1931), starring Boris Karloff, the film that established the monster's familiar green, bolted look. It forms part of the quarterly Reel Histories series, which draws on the former Greater London Council's Film Viewing Board Files — records of film censorship from 1922 to 1985 — with the censors' contemporary verdict on the film revealed at the event. Doors open at 5.45pm, the event begins at 6.15pm with a historical introduction before the film, and the venue closes at 8pm. The event is for over-18s only, with advance booking required.
