LOST FUTURES: Wax, Or the Discovery of Television Among the Bees

LOST FUTURES presents a 35th-anniversary screening of David Blair’s experimental film Wax from a VHS copy made for the event.

The ICA describes Wax as a hybrid of cyberpunk essay, surrealist mock-documentary and video art experiment. The 1991 film became the first film streamed over the internet in May 1993, at two frames per second. For this 35th-anniversary event it will be shown from a VHS copy created especially for the screening; bootlegs will also be on sale.
