Anemara

The all-female transatlantic folk quartet Anemara performs Nordic, Celtic and American-inspired music at Wiltshire Music Centre.

Anemara is a quartet of award-recognised musicians from Canada and Sweden who first joined forces in Glasgow. Their set blends Nordic, Celtic and American folk traditions using two fiddles, harp, cello, stepdance and four-part vocal harmonies. The group's name combines the Greek wind gods 'Anemoi' with the Gaelic 'Mara' (of the sea), reflecting their cross-Atlantic connection.
