Hanningfield Nature Journaling and Phenology: Autumn Edition

An outdoor nature journaling session for adults exploring autumn phenology in the woodland at Thameside Nature Discovery Park.

Essex Wildlife Trust runs this short course and presentation on phenology, the study of natural seasonal changes, through the practice of nature journaling. Participants walk the woodland identifying flora, fauna and seasonal elements, then record their discoveries through art, doodles, poetry or creative writing. The session lasts two and a half hours, is outdoors so weather-appropriate clothing is advised, and is suitable for ages 16 and over with under-18s accompanied by an adult.
