Hoghton Tower hosts a Christmas Gift Market where local artists and crafters sell unique gifts for Christmas shopping, including returning favourite traders and new stalls. The market takes place in and around the Grade I listed 17th-century Great Barn, running 10am to 3pm with last entry at 2:30pm. Admission charges support the Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust charity in maintaining the building and grounds. Visitors should note the paths are on an incline and uneven, with access to the Great Barn via a single-width side door or a main door with two steps.
