Ghost Tour at Hoghton Tower
About
An after-dark ghost tour of Hoghton Tower's haunted halls and underground passages, preceded by a two-course meal, in aid of the Preservation Trust.
Silent torchbearers lead visitors through the darkened halls of Hoghton Tower, reputedly the third most haunted house in Britain, sharing ghostly tales from across the centuries. The route includes underground passages, the Well House with its black dog legend, and the painting of Angry Peter. The evening begins with doors at 5:30pm and a two-course meal at 6pm — meat and potato pie or vegetarian butter pie, followed by sticky toffee pudding — before the tour, which is expected to finish by 9pm. Aimed at adults, it is not suitable for under-16s and raises funds for Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust.
