About
Saxophonist Kevin Figes presents Sound Dimensions, a genre-crossing work for Bristol Ensemble, jazz musicians and electronics inspired by Morricone, Nono and Maderna.
Saxophonist and composer Kevin Figes performs Sound Dimensions, a new project of Arts Council-commissioned works inspired by three pioneering figures of 20th-century Italian music: Ennio Morricone, Luigi Nono and Bruno Maderna. The performance brings together the Bristol Ensemble with vocalist Brigitte Beraha, bassist Ashley John Long and electronics artist Gaz Williams, alongside leading jazz, rock and contemporary classical musicians from the South West. The work blends orchestral textures, improvisation and electronic sound in a genre-crossing programme. Doors open at 19:30 with the performance starting at 20:00; reserved seating, all ages welcome.
