Christmas Herbal Workshop
About
A two-hour festive herbal workshop with The Historical Herbalists at Bamburgh Castle, making Tudor-inspired scents, mulled wine sachets, spiced vinegar and a 17th-century winter salve.
The Historical Herbalists lead a relaxed two-hour Christmas workshop in a festive apothecary setting at Bamburgh Castle. Participants discover how people in past centuries used plants, scent and household ingredients for winter comfort, then make their own traditional creations: Tudor receipt-book home scents, mulled wine sachets, a richly spiced vinegar and a 17th-century winter salve. All materials, refreshments and castle admission (including the A Christmas Carousel installation) are included, with a choice of 11am or 2pm start.
