RNCM Wind Orchestra with Peter Moore (trombone)
About
Trombonist Peter Moore joins the RNCM Wind Orchestra for a programme of wind music including Schuller's Eine Kleine Posaunenmusik.
The RNCM Wind Orchestra performs a programme of wind-band works with trombonist Peter Moore, who made history as the youngest-ever winner of the BBC Young Musician Competition at 12. Moore features in Gunther Schuller's Eine Kleine Posaunenmusik, a jazz-informed take on Mozart's serenade showcasing the trombone's expressive and virtuosic capabilities. The concert also includes new works by RNCM composers, Kevin Day's Symphony No 2, Cindy McTee's Finish Line, Ida Gotkovsky's Pème du Feu and José Suñer's El Jardín de Hera, conducted by Beatriz Fernández Aucejo, Jamie Gunn and Lea Fischer. The event includes an interval and ends at approximately 9.30pm.
