About

A monthly family day with gallery games, trails, creative activities, replica objects, dress-up and chances to meet a Civil War soldier. The 5 December EXTRA adds St Nicholas Christmas activities.

Explore the galleries through interactive games and family trails, meet a Civil War soldier, make and play with replica objects, and try the museum’s creative activities, dress-up area and Toys Through Time trail. The first-Saturday programme has confirmed dates on 7 November and 5 December 2026; the December EXTRA adds seasonal activities celebrating St Nicholas and winter traditions, with further details to be announced. Activities are included in general admission, with free entry for Newark and Sherwood residents. No booking is required.
