Echoes of the Floating World

An exhibition pairs Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints with works by Wirral artists to explore the style’s influence on European and local art.

The gallery’s collection includes prints by artists such as Hiroshige and Hokusai. The display places them alongside local work and traces exchanges in perspective, viewpoint and bold colour.
