About
Deiseil: Dancing in Time is a stepdance performance that explores the loss and revival of Scotland's percussive dance through a lifelong friendship.
The production traces the history of stepdance, which was revived from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and woven into a lifelong friendship. Directed by Gerry Mulgrew, the performance combines fiddle, percussive dance, Gaelic song, and story. Dancer Alison Carlyle and musician Amy Geddes, who are co-directors of Deiseil Airson Dannsa, perform the work.
