About
Tenebrae explore the Passion through five centuries of music, including the world premiere of Owain Park’s Canticles for a Passion.
Nigel Short conducts a programme interleaving Park’s new work with Poulenc’s Lenten motets. Music by Byrd, Chilcott, Stainer, Casals, Whyte and Max Richter provides further reflections on suffering, sacrifice and hope. The advertised running time is two hours.
