Creative Industries Week

A two-day taster event for students offering university-level creative workshops in art, design, fashion, media, film and production at Southampton Solent University.

This two-day event invites students to experience university-level creative workshops at Southampton Solent University, with each day focused on a different branch of the creative industries. Day one covers creative arts including illustration, graphic design, fine art, fashion and beauty, prosthetics and interiors, while day two covers creative media such as film, animation, journalism, games, performance, audio and media production. Participants take part in hands-on practical projects using professional facilities including the university's VP stage, film studios, newsrooms and design workshops, producing portfolio-ready work with guidance from academics and industry professionals. Teachers can book college groups for one or both days, with each student selecting one workshop per day; individual students not attending with a college group can enquire by email.
