About
A free guided walk through Tewkesbury exploring the history and current state of its waterways, ending with hands-on river water testing at the Abbey Mill.
A guided walk through Tewkesbury led by Steve and Geoff, exploring the history and current state of the town's waterways, from 19th-century cholera outbreaks to present-day river quality. Both guides volunteer for SafeAvon monitoring the River Avon's water quality. The walk continues to the Abbey Mill, where participants can take part in water testing that may reveal the river's poor condition. The walk lasts approximately 90 minutes including the testing, with a maximum of 10 people.
