About

A guided walking tour exploring medieval Cirencester's wool-trade wealth, from sacred buildings to squalid streets, meeting at the museum.

This one-hour walking tour, 'Monks, Merchants & Mud!', explores how Cotswold sheep fleeces made fortunes that built a parish church, underwrote a hospital and supported markets, inns and shops in medieval Cirencester. Participants experience the town's sacred splendours and squalid streets on foot, meeting at the Corinium Museum. Comfortable shoes and a raincoat are recommended, and booking is advised as places are limited.
