Our Lady of The Nile Screening

A free screening of Our Lady of the Nile, the first of five human-rights-themed film screenings with an audience-led discussion afterwards.

REDEYE presents Our Lady of the Nile, the first of five screenings under the theme of human rights on screen, adapted from Rwandan author Scholastique Mukasonga's bestseller about a Catholic girls' boarding school amid brewing civil violence. On arrival there is a commissioned musical response and attendees receive a postcard of original artwork inspired by the film. After the screening, an audience-focused discussion moves through small group conversations before opening to the full room, with note-taking encouraged on the postcards.
