Explore Your Family History

An eight-week Tuesday evening course teaching practical skills for researching your own family history.

This series of eight weekly workshops at Kilmardinny House gives participants the practical skills to begin researching their own family history. Sessions are collaborative and interactive, with practical examples, tips and tricks, plus a hands-on session using archive documents and the local studies collection. No prior research expertise is needed, though participants must be comfortable with computers and basic internet use. The final session takes place at the William Patrick Library in Kirkintilloch.
