Chris Ingham's Steely Jazz: A Becker-Fagen Songbook
About
The Chris Ingham Quintet performs Steely Dan's songbook reimagined as jazz, mixing classics and deep cuts at The Blakehay.
Steely Jazz, the Chris Ingham Quintet, reinterprets the songs of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen with swing, soul and jazz edges, drawing on material from their album Walter/Donald. The show pairs famous hits such as 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number', 'Josie' and 'Reelin' in the Years' with deep cuts from Steely Dan's nine albums released between 1972 and 2003. The five-piece line-up features Chris Ingham on vocals, piano and guitar, Harry Greene on sax and guitar, Paul Higgs on trumpet and piano, Geoff Gascoyne on double bass and George Double on drums and vocals.
