About

A quieter, extended Father Christmas grotto visit for children who benefit from a calmer environment or extra time.

Children can chat with Father Christmas in his Rock House grotto, receive a gift and have a photo taken. The Quiet & Extended sessions are intended for children who need these adjustments; the National Trust asks families to choose a standard session if that better suits the child. Maximum six children per session. Arrive at Visitor Reception ten minutes early; the route includes steep hills, uneven ground and steps, and some activities are outdoors. The published quiet sessions last ten minutes and are intended for children up to age ten.
