House of Chai: a Sunday sanctuary
About
A pop-up tearoom offering three hours of herbal tea, a soundbath, rest and community connection as British Summer Time ends.
House of Chai is a pop-up tearoom hosted by the social enterprise House Of, marking the end of British Summer Time with an afternoon devoted to slowing down. The three-hour session opens with intentional tea sipping and setting a shared intention, followed by a soundbath led by Sana, a sound healing and mindfulness practitioner. Guests are then free to read, craft, join a cultural game or make artwork, with light snacks and specialist herbal teas provided throughout. The space is held by Benedicta, founder of Golden Sankofa, and proceeds support the organisation's wider community care work.
