Doc'n Roll: Shorts Night

A Doc'n Roll Film Festival shorts programme of five punk-spirited music documentaries, with director Q&As, screening at the Rio Cinema.

This Doc'n Roll Film Festival shorts night presents five short documentaries united by a punk ethos, covering London's underground rap and hardcore scenes, Black musicians in Texas, resistance on the dancefloor and the cultural battles around gangster rap. The films are Dr. C. DeLores Tucker vs. Gangster Rap, Resistance Through Rituals, Shut the Fuck Up, When We Speak, Senrab and Rap Baby, with a total runtime of 75 minutes. Several screenings include Q&As with the directors, and in one case with the band and its subject.
