Ensemble Isis | Andrew Hamilton

Ensemble Isis performs Andrew Hamilton's minimalist works alongside new pieces by Oxford student composers, preceded by a talk.

Ensemble Isis presents a talk at 18.00 followed by a concert at 19.30 devoted to the music of Dublin-born composer Andrew Hamilton, including 'frank o’hara on the phone piece' (2003) and 'music for people who like art' (2018), alongside new works by Oxford student composers. Hamilton, a predominantly minimalist composer, describes his process as taking small fragments of musical material and observing them from every angle.
