New Music: Ensemble Isis Series

Ensemble Isis performs Andrew Hamilton's quirky minimalist works plus new pieces by Oxford student composers, preceded by a talk.

Ensemble Isis performs two works by Dublin-born composer Andrew Hamilton — 'frank o'hara on the phone piece' (2003) and 'music for people who like art' (2009) — alongside new pieces by Oxford student composers. The evening opens with a talk at 6pm followed by the concert at 7.30pm, exploring Hamilton's minimalist style and his connections to composers such as Kevin Volans, Louis Andriessen and Morton Feldman.
