Oxford Light Festival
About
A free family festival of light-themed installations, crafts, workshops, tours and a youth open-mic night at Pegasus Theatre.
Pegasus Theatre hosts a day of free, accessible activities exploring light through science and art. The programme includes the Glow Gallery drop-in with lasers, LEDs and phosphorescent boards in partnership with IF Oxford, a shadow puppet-making workshop with Emma Boor and Euton Daley, an interactive walking tour performance by WhatNot Theatre in which Night and Day battle for power, and light-inspired crafts with artist Carmen Rodriguez Macias. In the evening, a bookable open-mic night in the gallery space offers performers aged 14-18 a safe space to perform to a live audience. Daytime activities run 10am-4pm, with the youth open mic from 7-9pm.
