Trick of the Light
About
A 90-minute Saturday Science Club session for ages 5-9 exploring the science of illusion with light tricks, 3D vision glasses and take-home spinning picture toys.
This Saturday Science Club session at the Science Oxford Centre invites children aged 5-9 and their accompanying adults to experiment with the science of illusion. Activities include 3D vision tricks using red/blue and stereoscope glasses, plus making a magic picture spinner such as a thaumatrope or Zoetrope to take home. Led by expert club leaders, the 90-minute sessions run at three times on the day, and tickets include access to the woodland, Water Lab and outdoor areas from 10am-5pm. Activities are designed for adults and children to work together, and staff can support children with additional needs.
