Clackmannan Tower guided tours
About
Guided tours of the interior and exterior of the 14th-century Clackmannan Tower, ending with views over the Forth Valley.
Historic Scotland staff lead guided tours of Clackmannan Tower, a 14th-century tower house once home to descendants of King Robert the Bruce, later visited by Robert Burns and sketched by Turner. The tour covers both the exterior and interior of the building, finishing at the top of the Tower with views over the 'Wee County' and the Forth Valley. Tours run on selected dates until 28 October 2026, from 10am to 4pm. Visitors should note the route involves uneven flooring, steep stairs, low lintels and exposed heights, and may not suit those with mobility issues.
