Charles Dickens Birthplace: Talks & Readings Programme
About
Talks and live readings at Charles Dickens' Birthplace, with Annie Elliot's talk on Catherine Dickens and John's drop-in readings from Dickens' classics.
This programme brings Dickens' birthplace to life through talks and live readings. On Annie Elliot's dates she gives her acclaimed talk at 11am and 2pm about the love story and heartbreak of Dickens' wife Catherine, drawing on her book 'Mr & Mrs Charles Dickens: Her Story… So the world may know he loved me once.' On alternative dates John shares readings from Dickens' most beloved classics throughout the day, with visitors welcome to drop in and enjoy performances on demand between 10:30am and 2pm. All talks and readings are included with museum admission.
