About
A festive Christmas lunch at Walmer Castle followed by a talk by Jenny Wall about Mrs Allen, the woman who kissed the Duke of Wellington's hand as he died.
This lunchtime event combines a Christmas meal with a lecture at Walmer Castle and Gardens. Guests are welcomed with mulled wine or hot spiced apple juice, followed by a choice of roast turkey, roast beef or a homemade vegetarian pastry with all the trimmings, and a Viennese mince pie for dessert. Afterwards, Jenny Wall gives a talk about Mrs Allen, the woman who kissed the hand of the Duke of Wellington as he died. The event is suitable for adults.
