About
Three candlelit Christmas carol concerts by Wells Cathedral Choir with guest readers, sing-along carols and over 3,000 candles.
Carols by Candlelight returns to Wells Cathedral with three evening performances on 19, 20 and 21 December 2026, each running 19:00–20:30. The world-renowned Wells Cathedral Choir performs festive choral music and sing-along carols, joined by guest readers from the local community. The cathedral is illuminated by more than 3,000 candles, and attendees can dedicate a candle in memory or celebration of a loved one, with names included in the concert programme. Proceeds support the charitable work of Wells Cathedral.
