Gwen John: Strange Beauties

Gwen John: Strange Beauties is a major retrospective exhibition dedicated to the pioneering painter Gwen John.

The exhibition showcases work from Gwen John's early years in Wales through to her late works inspired by French modernism and her religious beliefs. It features rarely seen drawings and watercolours, offering insight into her quiet yet determined artistic vision. The exhibition was developed by Amgueddfa Cymru in partnership with National Galleries of Scotland, Yale Center for British Art, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington DC.
