Lego Serious Play - Constructing Diverse Teams

A morning Lego Serious Play workshop where construction professionals build and discuss ways to make teams more inclusive and welcoming.

Organised by RIBA East Midlands, this four-hour session uses the Lego Serious Play method as a discussion tool for construction industry professionals. Participants build LEGO models to explore barriers faced by women and other groups who experience discrimination or exclusion as architects, builders, engineers and surveyors. Facilitator Rebecca Graaff leads the session, which covers inclusivity benefits, the Considerate Constructors Scheme and industry best practice, and how the different professions can collaborate to make workplaces more equal. The agenda includes breakfast refreshments, an introduction to the National Site Standard and facilitated group work for up to 12 participants per group.
