Lego Therapy Workshop
About
A two-hour training workshop teaching adult facilitators how Lego therapy can support children on the autistic spectrum, led by an experienced autism trainer.
This workshop introduces Lego therapy, an intervention devised by Dr LeGoff in 2004 that has been shown to benefit children and young people with social communication and interaction difficulties. Delegates learn the theory behind the approach and take part in a session showing how Lego therapy differs from simply playing with Lego. The session covers outcomes such as turn-taking, social negotiation and collaborative play, and explains the roles of the adults involved. It is led by Lisa, an autism specialist with over 20 years' experience across education, social care and community settings.
