A Christmas Carol

Dickens Theatre Company's acclaimed 65-minute adaptation of A Christmas Carol, with Dickens himself playing Scrooge and 30-plus characters, plays two performances at Rhoda McGaw Theatre.

Dickens Theatre Company brings its long-running production of A Christmas Carol to the Rhoda McGaw Theatre as part of its Revision on Tour programme of GCSE text adaptations. In the premise, with the rest of the cast stranded on a train, Charles Dickens and his tour manager George Dolby must perform the festive tale, with Dickens portraying Scrooge and over 30 other characters. Directed by Ryan Philpott with music by Paul Higgs, the show runs 1 hour 5 minutes with no interval, is suitable for ages 8+, and matinee performances are followed by a post-show Q&A with the cast.
