Lightstreams

Lumenis Theatre presents Lightstreams, a play about a migrant care-worker family navigating a global crisis, at The Rondo Theatre.

Presented by Lumenis Theatre, Lightstreams follows Maurice and Hermia, a migrant married couple who make their home in the UK, where Maurice works as a care worker in an elderly care home while Hermia struggles with motherhood. During a period of global crisis, Maurice is forced to choose between his family and living in the care home where he works, and four years later the couple take stock of their life choices as further restrictions loom for migrant care workers. Inspired by real-life testimonies, the play voices the human stories behind migration. Running time is 90 minutes plus interval, recommended for ages 14+, with a content warning for strong language.
