Lobster Tale / Sea Wall

An evening of two one-act plays, Lobster Tale and Sea Wall, exploring family, love and identity.

This community theatre evening pairs two one-act plays. In Alison Farina's Lobster Tale, performed by Alex Oliviere, the playwright draws on eight months spent back in the US dealing with a parental health crisis, exploring caring for ageing parents, cultural identity and the US healthcare system. It is followed by Simon Stephens' acclaimed Sea Wall, performed by Giles de Rivaz, in which a man's happy family life is upended by a single devastating moment. The plays contain themes of illness, bereavement and grief.
