Learn the Ladderback Jacquard Technique
About
A three-hour knitting class with Wendy Peterson teaching the Ladderback Jacquard technique for managing floats in stranded colourwork.
This advanced three-hour workshop teaches Ladderback Jacquard, a specialised knitting technique that manages long floats in stranded colourwork by turning them into vertical ladders of stitches on the reverse of the fabric. Participants learn to analyse colourwork charts, decide where the technique is appropriate, and place, create and finish ladder stitches. The class works on Wendy Peterson's Tulip wrist warmer pattern, which can be cast off as a wrist warmer or continued into a fingerless mitten. Attendees need experience knitting small circumferences in the round and some stranded colourwork experience, plus three contrasting shades of DK yarn and 4mm needles.
