About

A seasonal family visit combines a woodland grotto, dated Christmas character appearances, an elf workshop, a stamp-collecting trail, animal encounters and keeper talks.

The advertised characters vary by date, from Elfy Shelfy on 5 December and the Ice Queen and Jolly Snowman on 6 December to Merry Mice on Christmas Eve. Park admission is advertised 10:00–16:00 on event days; the Woodland Grotto is open 10:00–15:00 on the listed dates. Character appearances take place at set times between 11:00 and 15:00, with exact times and locations posted on site. The Elf Workshop offers gingerbread decorating, reindeer-food making and letter writing; some activities may be separately charged. Admission includes a visit to Santa; an optional gift costs £8.50. Normal park admission applies, and the source accepts eligible advance membership and Visit & Save bookings subject to availability.
