Queer Metal Club
About
A two-session Friday evening metalworking course for LGBTQ+ participants and allies, teaching welding, bending, folding, hammering and cutting in a friendly, beginner-friendly setting.
Queer Metal Club is a two-session introduction to metalworking run by and for queer people curious about working with metal. Across the Friday evening sessions participants learn to weld, bend, fold, hammer and cut metal, with no experience required and all skill levels welcome. The club is described as a safe, social and friendly environment, open to everyone who aligns with its ethos, with priority given to those who identify as LGBTQ+. Sessions run 6:30–9:30pm on 4 and 11 December 2026, with metalwork taking place on the ground floor of the workshop.
