Introduction to Woodturning

A two-day introductory woodturning course covering spindle and faceplate turning, with participants taking home finished hardwood objects.

This weekend course at Blackhorse Workshop introduces beginners to woodturning over two days. Day one covers the safe use of lathes and turning tools, practising spindle turning through a freestyle exercise and a traditional technical object. Day two covers materials, preparation, design, finishes and faceplate turning of hardwood bowls, with participants taking home a selection of finished pieces.
