Young Driver (MORE Course) Full Licence Holders Only

A half-day road safety course for full licence holders aged 17-30, with skid pan, emergency stops and driving skills sessions at Millbrook Proving Ground.

Run by Bedfordshire's Road Safety Teams, this half-day course helps young drivers aged 17-30 who already hold a full licence build on their skills. Attendees take part in practical experiences including a skid pan and emergency stops at 30, 50 and 70mph, plus advanced manoeuvres such as emergency braking and skid control. The session also covers reading the road, vehicle maintenance, legal advice, distraction and vulnerable road user awareness, driving on national highways and a VR experience. Proof of passing the driving test is required for the practical activities, and activities may change depending on staff availability.
