About
A volunteer working session for historical research and digital recording of North Pennines mining heritage.
The monthly indoor day brings together volunteers working on historical research and field recording. Research groups can share findings, explore themes and work through transcriptions with staff guidance. Photogrammetry volunteers can process site photographs and use written sources, LiDAR and QGIS to document historic mining landscapes. No previous experience is needed; refreshments are provided, and participants should bring lunch if needed.
