Spot the Clot: DVT Study Day

A hands-on DVT ultrasound study day for healthcare professionals, combining expert lectures, supervised scanning workshops and case discussions.

This one-day study day at the South West Imaging Training Academy is aimed at healthcare professionals involved in venous ultrasound imaging, including sonographers, radiographers, vascular practitioners, clinicians and trainees. The morning features expert-led lectures covering lower limb venous anatomy, DVT scanning techniques and protocols, image optimisation and the ultrasound appearances of common venous pathologies. The afternoon offers supervised hands-on scanning workshops in small groups, case reviews and Q&A sessions, with CPD-focused learning and places limited to maintain quality.
