Junior Church
About
Durham Cathedral's Junior Church welcomes children aged 0-18 during the 10am Sung Eucharist in term time, with age-group storytelling, craft, discussion and hot chocolate.
Junior Church runs every Sunday during term time alongside the 10am Sung Eucharist, inviting children aged 0-18 to explore the day's gospel reading. Children are led into the Chapter House in three groups: a supervised Baby Zone for ages 0-4 (with a parent or guardian), a Primary group using songs, craft and prayer, and a Secondary 'Hot chocolate Drinking Club' meeting in the Education Centre for discussion. Sessions are led by qualified teachers with DBS-checked volunteers, and families are invited to refreshments in the Galilee Chapel at 11am.
